No, the booking tariff only covers the room rent. Most forest lodges (like Dhikala and Bijrani) have canteens where you can purchase buffet meals. In remote lodges, you may need to carry raw rations and the caretaker can cook for you.

Forest lodge bookings open 45 days in advance for Indian nationals and 90 days for foreign nationals. Since there is incredibly high demand and limited rooms, we recommend sharing your details with us at least 60 days prior.

Yes, all government forest rest houses are heavily protected with solar fencing and guarded by forest officials. However, guests are strictly prohibited from stepping out of the lodge premises after sunset.

Mobile networks (except limited BSNL) do not work in core zones like Dhikala and Bijrani. Electricity is completely dependent on solar power and is usually available only during limited evening hours.
