Why Choose This Safari?

The Power of Silence

Without the roar of a 4x4 engine, the ancient jungle reveals its true self. Wildlife is far less intimidated by an elephant, allowing you to get breathtakingly close to grazing deer, exotic birds, and even the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger without disturbing their natural rhythm.

  • The "Above-Grass" View

Jeeps limit your view to track-level. Atop an elephant, you look down over the 8-foot tall Dhikala grass (Chaurs), spotting predators hiding effortlessly within.

  • Unrestricted Terrain

Forge paths where motorized vehicles simply cannot go. Cross shallow rivers, navigate dense thickets, and explore the deepest pockets of the core zone.

Traditional Mahout in Forest
The Unsung Heroes

Masters of the Canopy

An elephant safari is as much about the majestic animal as it is about the master guiding it. Our safaris are led by traditional Mahouts whose families have lived in harmony with these gentle giants for generations.

They possess an uncanny ability to read the jungle. From tracking a tiger's pugmarks from 10 feet in the air to understanding the subtle alarm calls of langurs, their profound indigenous knowledge turns a simple ride into a masterclass in wildlife tracking.

"You haven't seen Corbett until you've seen it from an elephant's back. We went places where no Jeep could ever enter. The ethical approach of the Mahouts toward the animals was heartwarming to see."

Need to Know

Rules & Queries

Is it safe to ride an elephant near a tiger?

Yes, it is extremely safe. Tigers and other predators naturally avoid fully grown elephants. The elephants used for safaris are well-trained, and the expert Mahouts know exactly how to handle wildlife encounters safely. Your elevated position also keeps you well out of reach.

Are there age or health restrictions?

Children must be securely held by parents at all times. However, because the ride involves a constant swaying motion and requires climbing up a platform, pregnant women and individuals with severe back or spinal issues are strictly advised to avoid this safari.

What is the ID requirement and cancellation policy?

You must carry the original Govt. Approved ID (Passport/Aadhaar/Voter ID) used during booking. As per the Uttarakhand Forest Department regulations, once a permit is generated, it is 100% non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be rescheduled under any circumstances.
